Its size and weight makes it particular suitable for more demanding users in large organisations with complicated communications requirements. In addition to the features of the GP644, the GP688 has a full keypad and an alpha-numeric display including battery gauge and caller identity.  The Motorola GP688 is the compact radio that grows on you.
